Welcome to the blog of the brand new Studies in Black website by myself, photographer Tony Butcher. Featuring fine art photography of the black male body and more.

Over the years, I’ve established myself as one of Britain's leading photographers of the black male nude. I hope my images speak for themselves: an intuitive skill and sensitivity for the black male form, looking beyond the models' powerful physiques.

I plan to update the blog with words and pictures from time to time, with updates on my black male nudes photography, as well as my other interests and photography experience - from
my many years as a pioneering queer photographer in London.
